In days gone by only the wealth could afford to have fruit from abroad and some chose to show their wealth by having paintings done of these exotic fruits, beside their silver and crystalwares. Today we take forgranted the fruit we get from all corners of the planet, however, this may not be for very long. The plight of bees becoming an endangered species and fruit crops being effected by climate change mean in the not too distant future only the very wealthy may again be able to afford these exotic fruits.
